They are easy to use (no tools required for rural fittings, just your hands) and have a full range of replacement parts and alternative seals available for different applications.
Standards

Chemical Resistance
Polyacetal split rings and NBR o-rings, suitable for water, are supplied as standard. CPVC split rings and EPDM or FPM o-rings and seals are available. For aggressive chemical applications, the end user is advised to test suitability.
Operating Temperatures
Maximum temperature of use for fittings and valves is the same as that for polyethylene pipe and they are not intended for use in hot water applications. They will withstand sub-zero temperatures.
